Week 2 Discussion- Subliminal Perception and Behavior
Have you ever had an experience where you feel your behavior was influenced by information that subliminally perceived? If so, please share with the class. If not explain, based on information presented in the textbook, explain whether or not you feel subliminal perception is possible. Can these experiences be explained with a simpler explanation?
Assess whether or not behavior can be influenced by subliminally perceived stimuli by explaining what the criteria for subliminal perception are. If you believe behavior can be subliminally perceived provide an explanation that meets your criteria. If you disagree with the notion of subliminal perception influencing behavior propose an alternative explanation for common subliminally experiences. Please present your arguments to some of your peers who disagree.
