Select a current issue in child or adult development that is widely discussed in the media – for example, child abuse and neglect, effects of infant child care on later adjustment, the obesity epidemic, work-life balance for families, quality of care for older adults, end-of-life decision making. Then, briefly discuss how each level of the environment may affect development in this area. Make sure to also consider bidirectional influences and the role of third parties.
