EDPR 3302 Final Paper Guidelines- 200 Points
Purpose:
The purpose of this assignment is to divulge deeper into child and adolescent development
through engagement with educational research. For this assignment you will choose one
advanced topic from a list of approved topics and research THREE (3) or more peer-reviewed
research articles on the topic to complete a formal analysis.
Instructions:
You will select one developmental stage (infant and toddler, early childhood, middle childhood,
adolescence) and one topic (from the list below)
Your paper must include an analysis of the articles and how they effectively address the
issues/concerns of the developmental life stage and topical issue. For example, you will need to
consider how well the articles you selected help you to better understand your topic and the
specific developmental age(s) you are focusing on.
The articles that you research MUST BE relevant to the course content, and it must be peerreviewed and within the last 10 to 15 years of publication (2007-2022). You will need to search
for, download, and read THREE scholarly articles and then include a synthesis of the
information in your topical analysis presentation. You must thoroughly discuss, evaluate, and
analyze themes, theories and concepts discussed in class with the concepts discussed in the
articles.
Your original paper submission is due November 19th. After you receive your grade, you are able
to make revisions which will be due November 30th
.
